MC2 > SinglePlayer > Walkthrough > Campaign 1 Mission 5

For this mission again its a lot more LRM's and medium range energy weapons. I used the Sha Yu as my sensor Mechs in this mission as they are larger than the Razorback.

My Load out

2x Bushwacker 7x LRM Rack
2x PPC
2x Heat Sink
1x Armor

2x Sha Yu 5x LRM rack
1x Large Pulse Laser
2x Armor
Jump Jets

1x Urbanmech 6x LRM Rack
1x Large Pulse Laser

The mission

Once in your first objective is to take out some fuel tanks. Run to them and blow them up, now move westward and you should see a mech sensor contact, go semi-close to the other tankers and he should run towards you, if you blow the barrels up (making sure your not to close) when he's near it makes taking him out easier.

Move northward into the base from the bases south west entrance. There is nothing but a load of long range vehicles in the base itself so I advise running up to them and engaging at close range. Blow up the gate and capture the facility and next head eastwards out of the south east entrance to the base. Along that road there is another long range vehicle, take him out from close up, and northwards there is another Anubis.

Now move northwards, cross the other road and head into the airfield and take care of the light vehicles there, (careful - the storm there carries PPC's). Head to the very north of the airfield and there is a way across the river by means of a submerged land bridge. Cross the river here. Once your across move westward and slightly north to objective "a".

Approach the tarmac from the south east and there should be 2 patrolling Sha Yu's and 2 patrolling LRM launchers that should enable to you to take them out fairly easily without the LRM launchers and the Sha Yu's teaming together. Capture the resource trucks, salvage one of the Sha Yu, (the only other mechs to salvage on this mission are some Anubis), and head south west to objective 3.You can keep the salvaged Sha Yu where you found it practicly and collect it at the end of the mission.

Approach the objective from the north east and a Storm and an Anubis should come to greet you. Target the Storm with your LRM's and take him out quick then as soon as he's dead run in to kill the Anubis from medium range. Now capture the repair bay and repair up.

Head directly west and then head south so that you are north west of the turret control on the hill. Target it from long range with your LRM's and then move up the hill (use the track below the hill) and take out the patrolling storm and the LRM launcher on top of the hill next to where the control tower used to be.

Now move around the base to the west and take out any resistance. I engaged a fire ant and then a Sha Yu which were easy to take care of and then 2 Storms, 2 centipedes and a LRM launcher snuck up on me. Dont worry, just stay at long range and for some reason the LRM launcher stayed behind.

Move and destroy the two SRM turrets and the gate and move through. On the other side next to the prison compound there is a Storm and an LRM launcher, just target the storm whilst running up to take out the LRM launcher. They should die quickly enough anyway. Capture the prison and move out of the base to the east blowing the gate. There is a resource truck parked next to some generators capture it and move around the base to the south.

There should be another Anubis, and he may well be inside the base. If he is cut a hole in the wall with your energy weapons whilst staying close and he should go through which stops him from going to a greater range. If he isn't in the base then just rush him.

Once your done just move your mechs back to the extraction point not forgetting your salvaged mech.
